At Venkateshwar International School, learning is never limited to classrooms or textbooks. It is woven into experiences that help children understand who they are, where they come from, and how they belong to a larger world. Saanjhi Virasat 2025, the school’s Annual Presentation, was a beautiful reflection of this philosophy.
Organised by students of Grades III to V, the event celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage and the idea that diversity is not just something to be studied, but something to be lived and appreciated. With 100% participation from nearly 850 students, the programme stood as a powerful example of inclusion, collaboration, and shared ownership.
An Event Rooted in Purpose and Vision
The programme was formally inaugurated by the school’s Chairman, Mr Mahavir Goel, whose presence added depth and meaning to the occasion. His visionary leadership continues to guide the school’s focus on holistic education and values-driven growth. The event was further honoured by the presence of members of the School Management, Ms Uma Bansal, Ms Heena Mittal, and Mr Gautam Mittal, whose consistent support ensures that every initiative at VIS remains centred on student development and well-being.
Adding a thought-provoking dimension to the celebration was Mr Raman Kant, widely known as the River Man of India. Addressing students and parents, he spoke about environmental responsibility, sustainable living, and the role young citizens play in protecting natural resources. His words encouraged students to think beyond performances and exhibitions, linking culture with responsibility and action.
Exploring India Through Young Voices
One of the most impactful elements of Saanjhi Virasat 2025 was the cultural exhibition, where students represented twelve Indian states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
Each exhibit was carefully researched and creatively presented by students. From traditional art forms and handicrafts to regional music, attire, languages, and everyday lifestyles, the displays reflected curiosity, effort, and deep engagement. What made the experience truly meaningful was that students themselves explained each element, confidently interacting with parents and visitors.
This student-led approach allowed children to develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and self-confidence, learning outcomes that align closely with VIS’s emphasis on personalised and experiential learning.
Performances That Celebrated Unity
The stage presentations in the school auditorium were equally captivating. A seamless blend of traditional dance forms and regional songs unfolded, each performance reflecting a unique cultural identity while coming together as one harmonious narrative. The energy, discipline, and joy displayed by the students kept the audience engaged and emotionally connected throughout.
Complementing the performances was a thoughtfully curated ethnic food court, offering flavours from different regions of India. This sensory experience added warmth and authenticity to the celebration, making culture something to taste, feel, and remember.
